CUSTOMER SERVICE/PRIVACY POLICY SHIPPING POLICY There is NO SHIPPING CHARGE for items shipped UPS - Ground within the 48-continental United States. For items shipped to other than the 48-conntinental United States, shipping charges will be actual UPS, best-method rates, based on destination. We will determine the shipping charges and notify the customer prior to order completion/shipment for approval of shipping charges. We do ship worldwide. The best way for us to ship outside the United States is to ship freight collect due to the various customs fees and value-added taxes in the various countries. This would require a bill-to account number. We require an actual street address as UPS (our preferred carrier) does not deliver to postal boxes. In some instances, we may use United States Postal Service Priority Mail for smaller items. SALES/USE TAX Orders shipped outside of North Carolina are not taxed. All orders shipped to destinations within North Carolina will be taxed based on destination. Because of North Carolina State law, we must report to North Carolina on a county-by-county basis even though the tax rate is the same except for Mecklenburg County. Accordingly, we require the County destination within North Carolina. For shipments to Mecklenburg County, a 7-1/2% tax rate applies. All other North Carolina locations are currently 7%. REFUND and RETURN POLICY It is the goal of Edward-Kay Gallery to have a 100% satisfaction rating with our customers. Each item we sell is individually examined prior to shipment to insure that only top quality items are shipped to our customers. There is always a possibility that an item may be damaged in-transit. If there is any indication that damage may have occurred during shipment, customers need to contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. The carrier normally prefers to examine a package for damage at its destination. For an undamaged item to be returned, we require out customers to notify us by phone or email within ten (10) days of receipt of the item stating the reason for the requested return. We will accept returns for reasonable cause. We do deduct a 10% restocking fee (to cover our out-of-pocket costs) and the customer is responsible for any repackaging and insured shipping charges on the item being returned.
